The NIJO-JO CASTLE FESTIVAL 2025 will be held from October 31th to December 7th.

During the Festival, you can enjoy various events such as “Nijo-jo Castle Layered Stamp Rally”, “Kyoto Specialty Fair”, “Falconry demonstration by Master Falconers”, “Traditional Japanese Performance of Sarumawashi (Monkey trainer) “and etc.

During the Festival, a special nighttime illumination event is also held.

This event revives the elegance of moon viewing in the Edo period with projection mapping and immersive light displays, enhanced by Noh, ikebana, and traditional music—inviting guests into a timeless world of moonlit beauty.
